Jordan Hart of Pembroke Dock travels to Slovenia on Nov 6th to take part in the European Under 17 Championships. This is probably her toughest challenge yet - even more of a test than winning the British Under 15 title. As one of the youngest players at 14, she will find the singles really physical and her countless hours of training will stand her in good stead. Many think her best games are in doubles and the European federation agrees with this as they have ranked her fifth seed in doubles with partner Georgina Hughes of North Wales. Others think she is even better at mixed doubles and she has a gold medal from a huge German tournament to prove this, but the welsh manager decided to rest her from that to concentrate on the other two events. The welsh team take on Latvia on Saturday and Slovakia on Sunday before the huge challenge of France whose team are second seeds for the tournament. Following the team event there will be the individual competitions making the whole trip a ten day marathon and a big learning curve for Jordan as she copes with being the best of welsh hopes for medals.
