City of Cardiff
built at the Appledore yard in Devon and commissioned in 1997 with her
sister ship replaced four ships which had previously worked off the South Coast

of small wharves and shallow draughts. Capable of two trips in a typical day,
the Cardiff can load and discharge a full cargo of 2,300 tonnes of sand or
gravel in under three hours. Looks like a new paint job since this picture
