A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM
COUNCILLOR RON WATTS, MAYOR OF PEMBROKE DOCK.

I wish to take this opportunity on behalf of Pembroke Dock Town Council to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
About this time every year our thoughts centre on families, what gifts to buy and what food we should have during the Christmas period. Finally the big day is greeted with much excitement, watching the children as they open their presents. This year I would also ask that you spare a thought for those who are less fortunate than us, including the lonely, the homeless and the sick.
I am so proud to be given the opportunity to be Mayor of Pembroke Dock which has as you all know a history that many towns and cities would relish. This year we have a number of events taking place in the run up to Christmas. On Friday 12th Father Christmas there will be a lantern parade from the Memorial Park to Lower Meyrick Street where Father Christmas will switch on the tree lights. In addition the winner of the Christmas Motif Competition, Holly Adams, will also be present  to see her design illuminated. The Town Council is grateful to the Milford Haven Port Authority for kindly sponsoring this competition.
In addition the synthetic Ice Rink will be in the Pater Hall, Pembroke Dock on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th to allow children and adults to have a go at skating. The Hall will also have charitable stalls / displays where members of the public will be able to purchase Christmas gifts etc. There will also be tea, coffee and mince pies available for those wanting refreshment after the hustle and bustle of finding suitable presents.

Enjoy the festivities and play safe.
A Happy Christmas to you all and best wishes for the New Year.

RON WATTS
Mayor of Pembroke Dock
