TOWN COUNCIL AND POLICE WORK IN PARTNERSHIP.

Pembroke Dock Town Council and the Police Community Support Officers have come together to try and tackle a problem of speeding of vehicles within Pembroke Dock.

The problem had been raised at a PCSO Forum Meeting and the Town Council decided that they would purchase a Speedo Camera which would then be used by the Community Police Team to target offenders.

At the Police Community Support Forum held on Wednesday 2 July 2008 it was reported that over the previous four week period the speed gun had been in use which had resulted in a number of fixed penalty notices being issued. In addition the Neighbourhood Policing Team had arrested one person for driving whilst disqualified

At the forum meeting it was also reported that in the past month over 100 Parking Tickets had been issued to vehicles parking illegally within the town.
