
Sea Cadet Wins Gold At
National Kayak Regatta
Garth Spure, a Pembroke Dock Sea Cadet is the first cadet in
Pembrokeshire to be picked to compete in the National Kayak Regatta
after his wins in the District event back in July 2008. and again after
represented Wales in the area competition in Bristol held in August 2008
Gareth was also a member of the winning relay team
Garth was selected as a member of area team to compete in the National
Kayak Competition in London the weekend of the 5th, 7th September
2008 following his successes. In his first race Garth pulled a muscle in
his shoulder but still managed to make third place, and after some
resting managed to get back in the Kayak and compete as part of the
winning team in the relay event, taking GOLD
The National competition attracts Sea Cadets from all over Great
Britain.
