PEMBROKE DOCK TOWN COUNCIL. Christmas Motif Competition, This year the Town Council in conjunction with Blachere Illuminations promoted a Christmas Motif Competition, where, children from the local Junior Schools were invited to design a suitable entry which would then be transformed into an illuminated display to be placed within the town. Pennar and Pembroke Dock Community Schools took part in the competition and judging of the event took place last week. The winner seen here was Holly Adams of Year 6 at Pembroke Dock Community School. The Mayor of Pembroke Dock will present Holly with her award on Thursday 17th July at the school Prize Giving Day. Over 200 entries were received in all and 62 entries received a Highly Commended rating. Holly’s Design will form part of the Town’s Christmas Illuminations which will be switched on at the beginning of December. It is likely that the design itself will be placed in Lower Meyrick Street near to the Town Christmas Tree. The Town Council is grateful to all who took part and will consider running a similar competition next year.
