Pembroke Dock Tidy Town; a Week of Action in Pembroke Dock

In January, Pembroke Dock will be the focus of a Week of Action under the Tidy Towns project. The week will be launched at Pater Hall on Monday 26th January.

During the week, volunteers from the local community, schools, youth clubs and businesses will be rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty to clean-up up in Pembroke Dock, Pennar, Carew and Cosheston. As well as litter picks, other initiatives might include dog fouling campaigns, waste amnesties, enhancing biodiversity and improving access.

The nationwide Tidy Towns initiative supports the people of Wales to improve the quality of their local environment and to take pride in the community where they live. Keep Wales Tidy and Pembrokeshire County Council are working in partnership with a number of local organisations including the Dyfed Powys Police and community groups to deliver the projects.

If you have any ideas of areas you would like to enhance or you would like to get involved with the week please contact Mari Williams on 01646 681949 or e-mail mari.williams@keepwalestidy.org or 07824 504816 or Michael Harries on 01437 775154.
